Since 2012 Protective Group has been providing solutions to keep vulnerable people safe across Australia. The majority of this work has been under Federal and State Government initiatives to keep women and children safe from family and domestic violence.
From the beginning of these programmes Protective Group have looked after more than 10,000 women and their children for organisations such as The Salvation Army, DHHS Child Protection, Police Services, Family Law firms and countless of other Not for Profit services across Australia.
“We manage risk around victims with an on-site comprehensive risk assessment of the property taking into account the victim and the perpetrator. We assist in safety planning for victim/survivors, arranging safety and security upgrades and assisting with technology solutions to keep them safe. We are the only company in Australia that specialises in this work.” says Protective Group’s founder and CEO, Stephen Wilson.
“This currently includes a wearable duress alarm using the Jupl Watch. We have found that the watch provides a sense of empowerment and peace of mind to them. This solution have resulted in multiple on site arrests in Australia. In some cases, having access to the Jupl Watch saved the person’s life.”
“COVID-19 has shown a definite increase in instances of family violence. As possibly the only “on site” response service in Australia, we are dealing with these instances daily as we travel nationwide.
“The valuable assistance given to us by Jupl is keeping many women safer and the development of a Family/Domestic Violence specific mobile solution will assist in timely, evidence based trauma informed response. We look forward to continuing or journey with Jupl in keeping more Australian families safe.”
